Merle Cancer Care Center

As part of North Puget Oncology Cancer Care Centers, our goal is to provide easy access to excellent cancer care services close to where our patients live. We want each patient to feel at home during this stressful time of life.

High-Quality, Compassionate Care

The Merle Cancer Care Center at Island Hospital serves patients from Anacortes, north Whidbey Island, Bayview, La Conner, Shelter Bay and the San Juan Islands. Our team of nurses and physicians work together to provide compassionate service that offers the best treatment and support for our patients.

Comprehensive Care

The Merle Cancer Care Center staff does everything possible to provide for our patients' physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs. Patients who are in the clinic during lunch are provided a meal. patients may also feel free to bring in food if they will be in the clinic for an extended period of time or they may ask the nurse about clinic refreshments or cafeteria hours.

Accredited Services

The Merle Cancer Care Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Our technologically advanced care is provided by physicians who are board certified in hematology/oncology. Our nurse practitioner has specialized training in oncology and our registered nurses have certification in cancer care through the Oncology Nursing Society.

The Merle Cancer Care Center offers:

Chemotherapy
Medication administration
Blood product transfusion
Private visits with physicians and a nurse practitioner
Referral to radiation therapy
