Island Prenatal Care Center
Working to increase access to maternity and infant care for low-income families, Island Prenatal Care Center is the Anacortes provider for Maternity Support Services (MSS) and Infant Case Management (ICM), both of which are components of the Washington State First Steps program.
 Maternity & Infant Care for Low-Income Families

The goal of the First Steps program is to provide services as early in pregnancy as possible, and then continue to help mother and baby after the birth. Education about pregnancy, childbirth, exercise, diet, baby care, and infant feeding is provided. Parenting education and individual or family counseling is also available. This program is offered in the clinic and at home.

Island Prenatal Care Center brings the knowledge and skills of a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, social worker, case manager and dietician together to meet the unique needs of each mother and baby. Their vision is to educate and empower their clients to actively participate in their maternity care, learn positive parenting skills and most importantly, develop self-reliance.


Professional Staff

The Prenatal Care Center staff offers a multi-disciplinary approach.  Comprising a group of professionals that put the patient first, our staff displays the care, compassion and sensitivity that lead to the best experience possible for mother and infant.
