Birthing Rooms: Each is private with bathroom and shower; medical equipment is unobtrusive. Babies remain at the mother's bedside throughout their stay, allowing a mother to directly observe her newborn's care.

Nursery: a fully equipped nursery is available for special infant care needs. Should the more specialized attention of a neonatal care unit be needed, infants are quickly transferred by helicopter to Children's Hospital in Seattle.

Analgesics: a full range of analgesics, including Epidural Analgesia -- 24 hours a day, seven days a week -- are available to a woman via her physician or nurse-midwife.

Safety and Security: For peace of mind, the Birth Center's controlled access security system assures each mother and baby a safe environment; only family and loved ones are allowed through locked doors. Also, the center is strategically located for ready access to operating rooms
