The Island Hospital Auxiliary is a Volunteer group whose primary focus is fundraising to support Island Hospital programs. One shining example is the Lifeline program. Through the efforts of the Island Hospital Auxiliary, Lifeline services are provided to individuals who are unable to pay.

The Auxiliary also purchases needed hospital equipment or monetary support for facility upgrades. Over the past few years, the group has purchased Surgery Department furnishings, special chair for Intensive Care Unit, stand-up scale and a pediatric bed.

Auxiliary fundraising comes in many forms, including bake sales, Valentine's Day "Candy grams," Penny Drive, mini-Christmas tree sales and more.

To become a member, attend two meetings and fill out the application available at the hospital. Dues are $15 per year.
