Spot the Signs of Stroke: Learn to BE FAST
May 06 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
This class will teach you how to quickly identify signs of a stroke with the helpful BE FAST tool. Island Hospital’s specialized Stroke Coordinator is offering an in-depth look at what you really need to know about stroke, how to quickly identify a stroke, and when to call 911. Stroke care has progressed greatly in the last few years, with more options to lessen or eliminate symptoms completely. Unfortunately, as time passes, options for stroke care become fewer. This class will help you understand that time matters when dealing with a stroke and taking immediate action will give you and/or your loved one more options for care. An opportunity for questions will be provided at the end of the class.
When: Thursday, May 6, 1-2 p.m.
Instructor: Lisa Edwards, RN, TCRN
