IH November Employee of the Month

Amanda FloecknerNews

Island Hospital’s November 2016 Employee of the Month is Kim Graf, Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO.

Kim has established herself as the “go to” person for anything in Administration. As the Board of Commissioners Secretary, she plans their calendars, arranges their travel and ensures their attendance at the right meeting, at the right time. Kim excelled as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Steering Committee’s Coordinator, a process that took nearly a year. During that time she coordinated site visits from EMR vendors, took copious meeting minutes and essentially ensured that the process to select and negotiate a new EMR went smoothly and seamlessly as possible.

Perhaps most important, Kim is the person who sets a positive, compassionate and thoughtful tone when patients and visitors sometimes appear in Administration or call with an issue or complaint. She sets the standard for the Promise each and every day.

Since her arrival in 2013, Kim has characterized Island Hospital’s Promise to consistently provide the best customer service to our patients, families, guests and colleagues. Congratulations and thanks for being an inspiration, Kim!
