The Island Hospital Employee of the Month for February is Patient Appointment Coordinator and Call Center Lead Jessica Murphy.
Jessica joined Island Hospital as a Patient Appointment Coordinator working both registration and phones, and within one year found herself in the Call Center Lead position. At this time, the Call Center was a newly formed department within the Primary Care Clinics and there were many significant changes in the patient scheduling process. Jessica was instrumental in the development of this department and the successful implementation of the new processes. She is focused, professional and highly motivated to put the patient experience first. In addition, she has created a team environment that embraces this positive focus and leads her team by example making sure patients feel listened to and cared for. Her team states, “The Call Center is a special place to work because of the environment Jessica has cultivated.”
