Amanda FloecknerPress Release

Island Hospital just completed their 5th Wound Management Fundamentals Course as a host site through the University of Washington Continuing Nursing Education. Continuing nursing education is a valuable experience that provides lifelong learning to practicing nurses and clinical staff. Evidence-based teaching and innovative educational opportunities have been made possible through grant funding provided by Shell Refinery for 10 Island Hospital participants. Attendees represented several departments throughout the organization as well as staff from multiple local healthcare facilities. This course provided clinical training that will meet the needs of today’s evolving healthcare environment and enhance the public safety and health of our local community. A special THANK YOU to Shell Refinery for their support of this program.
