Don’t let anything stand in your way to becoming a volunteer.

There are many reasons people choose to volunteer. For some, it’s a way to give back to the community, and for others, it’s a way to develop new skills or build on existing experience. Regardless of your reasons for volunteering, the outcome is a personal feeling of accomplishment and the strengthening of your supportive social network. At Island Hospital, we deeply value our volunteers, and believe that our Volunteer Services program is the heart of our uncompromising dedication to the community.

The many benefits of volunteering.

Although the best benefit of all is the extreme sense of pride and empowerment you will feel, Island Hospital does all that it can to make our volunteers feel appreciated. As a volunteer, you will receive complimentary meals at the Island Bistro, as well as complimentary coffee and tea. You will also be celebrated at our annual Volunteer Recognition Celebration while enjoying a delicious dinner and listen to informative guest speakers at our bi-monthly volunteer luncheons.
